Henry Goecke

Henry Goecke is the head of the Big Data Analytics research group at the German Economic Institute (IW) and holds a PhD in Economics. His work focuses on applying Big Data methods to economic questions on a variety of topics including social media, artificial intelligence, Big Data and the data economy. He currently leads a large-scale project for the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, researching economic questions in relation to data governance, data evaluation and digital business models. He previously worked as personal scientific assistant to the director of IW, Professor Michael Hüther.
