Christoph Busch
Christoph Busch is Professor of German and European Private and Business Law and Private International Law at the University of Osnabrück, Germany, where he is a director of the interdisciplinary research cluster ‘Digital Society, Innovation & Regulation’.
His areas of expertise include European consumer and contract law, unfair commercial practices law, platform regulation and standardization of services.
He is a Council Member of the European Law Institute (ELI) and co-chair of the ELI Digital Law Group and the ELI Working Group on Online Intermediary Platforms.
Moreover, he currently leads a comparative research project on platform regulation in Europe and Asia co-funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea.
Christoph Busch is a member of several standardization committees including the ISO Committee on Online Consumer Reviews and the DIN Committee on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies. He is co-founder and editor of the Journal of European Consumer and Market Law (EuCML).
